What to expect...

Our team will go through health and safety practices as well as a brief introduction to the workshop.

We will go into best practices related to the different tools and techniques such as annealing, sawing, filing finishing and soldering. These techniques will be demonstrated in copper provided within the course.

Generally time permitting we will use the later classes to create pieces of jewellery using the techniques we have covered through this course

By popular request we have always included a tutorial on the making of a spinner ring within this course.

Silver can be made available for purchase during later sessions, when you will be able to work on your own designs.

Bring a packed snack to enjoy during a break. Tea and coffee are provided.

Please wear workshop appropriate clothes, closed-toe sensible shoes. Open toe sandals/flipflops are not allowed. (Even if you have a university degree in jewellery making and want to do casting.) Full-length trousers are advisable. We do provide aprons.
